Hospitalist Program

Nancy Zeitoun, M.D., FACP, SFHM, is Director, Division of Hospital Medicine. Dr. Zeitoun is a Board Certified Internal Medicine Physician.  Dr. Zeitoun has being practicing hospital medicine for over 10 years.  She completed a combined internal medicine-pediatrics residency program at Albany Medical Center, NY.  She obtained her medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine.  She is a Fellow of the Society of Hospital Medicine and the American College of Physicians.  She was a teaching attending at Long Island Jewish Medical Center and Assistant Professor of the Hofstra-Northwell Health School of Medicine. Dr. Zeitoun joined the medical staff at St. Francis Hospital in October 2017.

Jasmeet Kaur, M.D., Associate Director, is certified in internal medicine, nephrology, and is also board certified as a clinical hypertension specialist. Dr. Kaur graduated from St. George's University and then went on to complete her medical residency at SUNY Stony Brook University Hospital in 2007 and nephrology fellowship at SUNY Stony Brook University Hospital in 2010. Since then, she has had the opportunity to work both as a hospitalist and as a nephrologist. She was previously working as a nephrologist for past five years with-in the NSLIJ system before joining the St. Francis Hospitalist program.

Mohammed Bari, M.D., FACP, is a Hospitalist who has been board certified in internal medicine since 2010. He completed his residency training at Jamaica Hospital Medical Center in Queens, NY, in 2010. After receiving his medical degree from Bangladesh Medical School in 1994, Dr. Bari gained experience by working as a house officer in Urology and Neurosurgery for several years. He also worked as a research assistant in the Stroke Unit at Lutheran Medical Center where he was actively involved in clinical research. Dr. Bari currently serves as a member of the Stroke Committee in addition to the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee at St. Francis Hospital.

Alicia Chionchio, M.D., is an internal medicine physician. She completed her residency in internal medicine at North Shore University Hospital and Long Island Jewish Hospital with Northwell Health. She graduated from Washington University in Saint Louis, where she received her medical degree. Dr. Chionchio joined the medical staff at St. Francis Hospital in January of 2020.

Rachelle de la Fuente, M.D., completed her residency training in internal medicine at Bronx Lebanon Hospital affiliated to Albert Einstein College of Medicine in 2005. She graduated from the School of Medicine and Pharmacy from the State University of Haiti in 1992 and had prior experience as an ophthalmologist. Prior to joining St Francis Hospital, she practiced as a teaching attending physician at Bronx Lebanon Hospital and as an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Clinical Educator Track at Mount Sinai School of Medicine since 2013, as well as an Adjunct clinical Assistant Professor at NYIT College of Osteopathic Medicine since 2011. Dr. de la Fuente is board certified in Internal Medicine.

Rajan Dey, M.D., is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Geriatric Medicine. He attended medical school at Chittagong Medical College, Chittagong , Bangladesh and completed his residency training at Jamaica Hospital Medical Center , Queens NY. He completed his fellowship training at SUNY Downstate Medical Center, Brooklyn NY. Prior to joining to St Francis, Dr. Dey worked as a Hospitalist at the Catskill Regional Medical Center in Upstate NY.

Maria Fedoseeva, M.D., is an experienced Hospitalist who is board certified in Internal Medicine. She completed her residency training at St John's Episcopal Hospital in 2011 in Far Rockaway, NY. She earned her medical degree from Arkhangelsk State Medical Academy in Arkhangelsk, Russia. Prior to joining St. Francis Hospital, she practiced as an Internist in traditional internal medicine practice in Queens for three years. During that time, she worked as a hospitalist for QLIMG at St. John's Episcopal Hospital, in Far Rockaway, NY, and also as a primary care physician at QLIMG Rockaway office in Far Rockaway for two years.

Doina Glodan, M.D., FACP, FHM, is an experienced Hospitalist who is Board-Certified in Internal Medicine and in Geriatrics. She completed her residency and fellowship training at NY Presbyterian Brooklyn NY Methodist Hospital in 2003.  She earned her Medical Degree from "Gr. T. Popa" University of Medicine in Iasi, Romania, where she also has prior experience as a cardiologist. Prior to joining St Francis Hospital, she practiced as a Hospitalist at Glen Cove Hospital in the Northwell Health System for three years. Before that she worked at Hebrew Health Care, a state-of-the-art nursing home and geriatric hospital in West Hartford, CT, and also as a private internist/geriatrician on the South Shore of Long Island, affiliated with South Nassau Communities Hospital in Oceanside. She is an active member and Fellow of The American Society of Hospital Medicine, member of American Geriatric Society, American Medical Association and a Fellow of The American College of Physicians. She is an active member of the Stroke Committee and Medication Safety Committee in St Francis Hospital.

Dmitry Goft, M.D., is board certified in Family Medicine. He completed his residency training at Albany Medical Center. He received his medical degree from American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine. He is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and the Society of Hospital Medicine. Dr. Goft has interests in palliative care medicine and transition of care.

Zoha F. Gondal M.D., is Board Certified in Internal Medicine (2015), Nephrology and Hypertension (2007). She graduated from Dow Medical College, Karachi, Pakistan, in 1990. She completed her Residency training in Internal Medicine in 1995 from Westchester County Medical Center, Valhalla, NY and Nephrology and Hypertension Fellowship from the same institution in 1997. She had a private practice in Rockville Centre, NY and subsequently worked as a Hospitalist at St. Charles Hospital in Port Jefferson, NY, for 4 years prior to joining St. Francis Hospital as a Hospitalist. She is a member of the American College of Physicians ( ACP).

Carlos Kim, D.O., completed his Family Medicine Residency from Long Island Community Hospital in Patchogue, New York, with the distinction of Resident of the Year in 2019. He is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and the American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians. His interests lie in evidence-based acute and preventive care in adult Hospital Medicine. Dr. Kim graduated from Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Fort Lauderdale, Florida in 2016. Dr. Kim is passionate about delivering high-quality care to his patients. He joined the Hospital Medicine Division at St. Francis Hospital in 2019 as a full-time Nocturnist.

Jeeyong Kim, M.D., is an Internal Medicine physician. He graduated from St. George's University School of Medicine with Summa Cum Laude, completing the majority of his clinical training in Queens and Brooklyn.  Post graduation, he completed his residency training at University of Arizona College of Medicine.  His practice focuses on providing excellent patient care based on evidence-based medicine and shared decision-making process.

Jiju Mathew, M.D., is a board certified internal medicine physician.  He attended Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute for his bachelor's degree in biology followed by completing medical school at Albany Medical College.    He completed his residency training at George Washington University Hospital in Washington DC which also included training experience at the NIH.  He then worked for two years as a hospitalist for Kaiser Permanente in Arlington, Virginia.  He is originally from New Hyde Park and decided to join St. Francis so that he could return to serve his hometown community.

Myat Myo, M.D., is board certified in Internal Medicine. A graduate of the University of Medicine in Yangon, Myanmar, she then completed an internal medicine residency program at North General Hospital (Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai) in 2008.  Dr. Myo comes to St. Francis Hospital, after having extensive Hospitalist medicine experience in several hospitals in New Hampshire and Long Island. She served as an Associate Program Director and clinical faculty at Mather Hospital Internal Medicine Residency Program since 2016 and Assistant Professor of the Hofstra-Northwell Health School of Medicine since 2018.

Harsimar Singh, M.D., is a board certified physician in Internal Medicine. Dr Singh graduated from Manipal Medical School in India and completed his Residency in Internal Medicine at NYU. After residency, Dr. Singh trained in cardiac imaging at St. Francis and Lenox Hill Hospitals. Dr Singh has been a hospitalist at St Francis Hospital since 2016.  He is an exceptionally talented physician and always puts his patients' well-being first. Dr. Singh has authored several publications and is actively involved in research projects including prospective clinical trials. Additionally, he is a finalist for the American Heart Association's Melvin Judkins Early Career Investigator.

Salma Syed, M.D., is a Board Certified Internal medicine physician since 2011. Dr. Syed has been practicing hospital medicine for eight years. She completed her internal medicine residency training at The Brooklyn Hospital Center in Brooklyn, NY in 2011. She obtained her medical degree from Mymensingh Medical College, in Mymensingh, Bangladesh. Dr. Syed was a hospitalist at Long Island Community Hospital, Patchogue, NY, and joined the medical staff at St. Francis Hospital in December of 2019.

Zar Chi Win, M.D., is a board certified internal medicine physician.  Dr. Win has been practicing hospital medicine for over three years.  She completed her internal medicine residency program at Easton Hospital in Pennsylvania. Dr. Win obtained her medical degree from Institute of Medicine I, in Yangon, Myanmar.  She was a hospitalist at Long Island Community Hospital, NY, and joined the medical staff at St. Francis Hospital in January of 2020.
